Temporary Banana Shortage

Hey everyone, heads up about an upcoming banana shortage. Shipments in to Tauranga have been delayed and are now expected on Thursday, June 20th.

This delay means we won’t receive any banana shipments for a week, and then we’ll get a double shipment on the 20th. This will impact all importers of Ecuadorian and Mexican bananas, so expect a shortage in the market.

We’re working on a plan to handle the situation, but we will likely need to reduce volumes to avoid running out of stock. Allocations will be necessary, and we expect prices will lift.
